Commissioner of City of Atlanta Planning and Development Tim Keane will speak at the Savannah Urbanism Series lecture Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. at Congregation Mickve Israel, 20 E Gordon St.
Prior to his position in Atlanta, Keane spent 11 years running the City of Charleston’s planning department for Mayor Joe Riley working on preservation, sustainability, and urban design and was a catalyst for many projects and initiatives in Mayor Riley’s office. He served as the planning director of Davidson, North Carolina and in the private sector has worked with the design of urban neighborhoods, blocks and streets for several developers.
