Urban Redevelopment Plan

As part of its efforts to revitalize the Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Montgomery Street Corridor, SDRA published an Urban Redevelopment Plan (URP) for the area in 2002. The plan was adopted by the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Savannah in conjunction with a resolution to establish the Corridor as an Urban Redevelopment Area. SDRA acted as the leader in creating the URP and preparing the final document, which surveys existing conditions and recommends short- and long-term strategies to aid in revitalization.
